INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS WHO SEEK PERMISSION TO USE MATERIAL FROM METHUEN PUBLICATIONS WITHIN THEIR FORTHCOMING WORKS:
If you wish to seek permission from Methuen to use a text extract or illustration from one of our publications please submit your permissions application as follows, ensuring that you include all the relevant information* about your proposed publication plans:
* We will need to know:
the title and proposed date of publication for your work
the publication print run and format (eg hardback or paperback)
the publication price
the territories in which the publication will be sold the name of your publisher and whether they are responsible for paying permissions fees set
You must also submit a photocopied extract of the text or illustration(s) that you wish to use.

Please note that permissions enquiries can often take some time to administer. Please allow between six to eight weeks for a response and please apply for the permissions required as soon as possible BEFORE publication of your work.

INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS REGARDING THE SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT MATERIAL FOR CONSIDERATION:
We strongly recommend that all prospective authors attempt to find an agent before submitting to publishers and we do not encourage unagented submissions.
If you are an unagented author, please enquire of us first before sending any material to us. [Any submissions should then contain a short synopsis and some sample material only. Please be sure to include a self-addressed, post-paid envelope if you want your submission returned or responded to in any way.] Please DO NOT submit manuscript material by email. Thank you.
