Paul Richards
Paul Richards joined the Labour party in 1986 in Salford. He was chair of the National Organisation of Labour Students from 1990 to 1991 and went on to work for the Labour Party at its headquarters and at the House of Commons. Following Tony Blair's election as Labour leader in 1994, Paul worked on the new Clause IV campaign, and helped to found Progress, the Labour modernisers' magazine. He was Labour parliamentary candidate in Billericay at the 1997 general election and in Lewes at the 2001 general election. He served as chair of the Fabian Society in 2002 to 2003. He is the author of How top Win an Election and Be Your Own Spin Doctor and the editor of Tony Blair In His Own Words. He is married with one son, and lives in south west London.
