Geoffrey Howe
Geoffrey Howe, Lord Howe of Aberavon, was born in 1926 in Port Talbot. He joined Edward Heath\'s government as Solicitor General in 1970, and served in Margaret Thatcher\'s as Chancellor of the Exchequer (1979–83), Foreign Secretary (1983–9) and Deputy Prime Minister (1989–90).
