Norman Howard
Norman Howard has spent a lifetime in British politics - as chairman of the GLC Planning Committee he was involved in all the major decisions affecting the capital, particularly in Dockland, the City and Covent Garden. As a journalist he has contributed to a wide range of publications and formed a television company which made several programmes on industrial and social problems affecting the different parts of the country. He managed the election campaign of Dr Horace King MP who later became the first Labour Speaker of the House of Commons and has been an active member of various community and political organisations.
