Tony Barker
Anthony Barker has specialised in British government, Parliament and public policy-making at the Department of Government, University of Essex since 1967 and previously at the University of Bristol. His research work has included the rise of quasi-government (quangos) in Britain; the senior civil service; public inquiries into land-use planning disputes, major tragic accidents and policy issues at large; and committees, commissions or other groups advising government on future policy and practice ('decision advice processes').
